Obermeyer’s Florist was founded in 1899 by Gustovias Obermeyer, with a retail outlet located in downtown Parkersburg, and greenhouses at the current location. Upon Mr. Obermeyer’s death, his daughter, Marie Taylor, assumed operation of the business.

In 1948, she built the current retail facilities, and sold the business to Russell and Gordon Jemison in 1952. The current owners, Robert and Linda Brownfield, purchased the business in 1978, and are currently in the top 100 of Teleflora’s membership of more than 26,000. Mr. Brownfield served as Teleflora Unit President, followed by tenure as Teleflora Regional Unit Director and was named the 1996 Distinguished Citizen of the Year by the Parkersburg Fraternal Order of the Police.

Our shop serves the following areas: Parkersburg, Vienna, WV and Beipre Ohio. We deliver to outlying areas in Wood County, Lubeck, Washington, Mineral Wells, Cedar Grove and Walker. We deliver to Waverly with a $7.50 delivery fee.

Our shop is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

We are open on Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. for Funeral Home Deliveries Only.

To help assure on-time delivery during the busy holiday season place your order as early as possible prior to the following major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, Administrative Professionals Week, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.

A local delivery fee starting at $6.00 will be added to each order, for each address. Delivery charges to outlying areas may vary between $7.50 and $25.00.

Orders to local Funeral Homes and Hospitals have a $3.00 delivery charge.

U.S.orders must be received before 1:00 p.m. in the recipient's time zone to help assure same-day delivery. Orders received after that time will be delivered the following business day.

We will do our best to accommodate deliveries at a specific time of day, but we cannot guarantee it.

Recipients phone number is required for guaranteed delivery.

On Sundays, we only deliver to Funeral Homes. Other orders requesting delivery on this day will be delivered the following business day.

Deliveries of orders to rural route addresses or cemeteries cannot be guaranteed.

We will be happy to accept your international orders if you call our shop directly. We are unable to accept international orders over the Internet.
